Sewer Construction Permits
To request a sewer construction permit, fill out a Sewer Permit Request Letter and email it to permits@cupertinosanitarydistrict.org.

Pool Discharge Permits
Do not drain your pool into the storm drain. Pools must be dechlorinated and properly drained into the sewer system with District approval and monitoring.

Sewer Permit Fees
Cupertino Sanitary District requires fees to be paid for all sewer-related construction or repairs done within the District's boundaries. These fees are separate from the City permit fees and must be paid BEFORE any sewer work is to begin.

SEWER SYSTEM DISCONNECTION PERMIT FEE:
The fee for a disconnection permit is $250.00 for each lateral.

For other uses/categories not included above, District Manager-Engineer will estimate the fee based on level of effort required for full cost recovery. All administration, engineering, and inspection fees are non-refundable, unless an installers’ agreement specified the terms of the administration, engineering, and inspection fees.
To pay sewer permit fees:
- Pay by credit card over the phone (Visa or Mastercard, only) by calling (408) 253-7071.
- Mail a check, made payable to Cupertino Sanitary District, to the District office located at 20863 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Suite 100, Cupertino, CA 95014. Be sure to include the City Building Permit Number in the memo.
The District office is open to visitors Monday - Friday, between 10 am - 3 pm, but checks can be placed in our mail slot located at the backdoor of our office any time. Mail is checked regularly.
